Depressing Headline of the Day

Crime may not pay, but apparently bigotry does:

Indiana Pizzeria at Center of ‘Religious Freedom’ Debate Raises $150,000 Online in One Day

Memories Pizza, a pizzeria that has found itself at the center of a gay rights debate in Indiana, is back in the news today, as an online fundraiser for the beleaguered ‘za joint has raised over $100,000 in under a day. On the fundraising site GoFundMe, a campaign started to “relieve the financial loss endured by the proprietors’ stand for faith” is closing in on $150,000 after about 18 hours online.

someone over at the "joe.my.god" blog said this money should be taxed...I wish the IRS would get involved here.

People will give to whom they choose to give, but giving money to a business to help them because they closed their business because people got pissed about them being bigots?

They'll still be bigots, and they'll still be doing the money beg, and soon people will forget about them.

And they'll be nothing but a Memory. [see what I did there?]

The number of bigots "out there" is fearsome! The last I heard, this bakery has received $800,000 which I hope is an exaggeration.

Bigotry in the name of Jesus.

I think it was Woody Allen who said that if Jesus came back today and saw what was being done in his name, he'd never stop throwing up. Something like that.
