Sure, Of course. Of course you would want your daughter dating a guy who stood against the Violence Against Women Act.
Of course you'd want your daughter dating a guy opposed to the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. Why would you want your daughter to fall in love with someone who thinks that her professional value is equal to that of a man? That's just silly!
And obviously you would want your daughter to date a man who would want to deny her access to birth control. And if this guy did get her pregnant, you'd want your daughter to be with a guy who believes that she should have no choice in the matter!
So, congratulations, sir. You're a terrible father! And a shitty person. And I hope your daughter grows up and marries Rachel Maddow.

The Republican governor in our state allegedly got his girlfriend pregnant during his student days, abandoned her, denied paternity, "moved on with his life" and kept the whole episode dark even when DNA testing revealed he was the biological father. (Oh, I forgot that he and his mother had team-tagged the girl, both accusing her of trying to "damage his reputation.") I assume this is the type of fine young Republican that the caring Dad wants his daughter to date.
