More Women who have brought us great music

Yesterday's post was obviously not a comprehensive list od great women musicians, nor was it intended to be. That would be an impossible task. That being said, here are a few I felt bad about overlooking yesterday.

Can't figure out why I never got into the Dixie Chicks. I dig bluegrass, and their politics should have had me at least give them a try. No joke, when my brother got married, his wife left her Dixie Chicks cd in their hotel when they checked out and they asked me to go pick it up and mail it to them. I listened to it on the way home and was, eh, nice but not my thing, but dang, nothing like Sin Wagon was on the cd I mailed back. Besides the Bush thing, was there a turning point in their music that had them throw all the fucks out the window?

Nina, Tina and Janis would have been a killer show.

And have the Chicks open for them? Yes, please.
