Terrible marketing Campaigns -- Dr. Pepper

ladies craving dr pepper luck soda women

It's not for women? This is your tagline? This feels really pathetic. But perhaps it makes more sense in context. Let's see:

No, that's even worse. What combination of misogyny and insecure-about-their-masculinity do you expect your target market to be infected with? I don't even know what to say. I can't imagine who you think is going to buy this soda based on this ad.
 .
Let's see, fat, sexist, insecure, fake macho posturing. . .is your target market Rush Limbaugh?

Hmm, I would like to drop a couple of pounds, but I sure don't want anyone thinking I'm a girl, cuz girls are totally lame and have cooties. . .Oh, Dr. Pepper 10! I'll take it!

Yesterday's Video

For some reason, the video from yesterday's post isn't showing up on some computers (like my iPod) So if you couldn't see it, here's a link to it on YouTube:

How to be 100% Sure that Your House gets Egged on Halloween

Turn it into "Jesus-Ween!"

Nothing better for gaining new converts than showing the kids that hey, your religion can even suck the fun out of  Halloween!

Just imagine what fun New Year's is going to be!

Way Past Time for Obama to Fire Jeffery Immelt

GE CEO: Protesters Should 'Root for Me'

In an interview that aired Sunday, General Electric Chairman and Obama job czar Jeffrey Immelt told CBS' Leslie Stahl that the notion that Americans were against big companies was "just wrong."
"I want you to root for me," Immelt said. "Everybody in Japan roots for Toshiba. Everybody in China roots for China South Rail. I want you to say, 'Win, GE.'

hey, genius! It's not that we're rooting against GE. We're more than happy to see GE succeed. What we have a problem with is you shipping jobs overseas, making huge profits off of war, and then paying no taxes. We would like GE to succeed without fucking us over. If you're going to keep behaving like you hate America, then the hell with you.

I feel like I have way more invested in KIA doing well, since they started making cars in Georgia, then an "American" company who makes all its stuff in China. How do you not get that?

My New Favorite Mayor

http://bestparentever.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/mcdmayormccheese.jpgMove over, Mr. McCheese, I have a new favorite mayor now.

It's Los Angeles' Antonio Villaraigosa.

Not only is he irresistible to women, apparently, which already puts him head and shoulders above most mayors, but there's also this:
