Who's Stupider?

You know what we haven't done in a while?
We haven't played "Who's Stupider?"

http://i.istockimg.com/file_thumbview_approve/10214943/2/stock-illustration-10214943-game-show-host.jpgWho's Stupider?

Let's play!

Contestant #1: Ted Cruz.

Ted hails from Canada, where he likes being a delusional asshole and mis-understanding children's books.

Ted, what do ya got for us today?

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/11/10/1415642405204_wps_1_REBRANDING_Texas_Sen_Ted_.jpg

Wow! Well played, Ted! What you've basically said here is "I don't understand what net neutrality is and also I don't understand what Obaamcare is, but I'm sure I hate both of them." Also, pretending that Obamacare isn't working, which it is despite your party's continual attempts at sabotage? Nice touch!

The level of ignorance, actual or feigned, in this this statement is really stunning. Contestant # 2 has his work cut out for him.

Contestant # 2: Lindsay Graham.

Lindsay hails from one of the Carolinas ( the bad one) where his hobbies include thinking up new countries that need invading and being totally, completely a heterosexual woman-loving macho man!

Lindsey? Have at it!

Lindsey Graham Accuses President Obama Of Acting Like A 'Spoiled Child'

Hmm, okay. That's a lot of projection, coming from one of the chief crybabies of the Congressional tantrum caucus, but you're going to need a bit more stupid to beat Ted Cruz.

He [Obama]'s completely tone deaf as to the results of this election. Even those who didn't vote Mr. President are polled about your policies. They don't like them any more than the people who did vote. So if he goes it alone on immigration I think not only will it poison the well but there will be a backlash against him that will flow over on Democrats yet again.

Dang!  Pretending that the well hasn't been poisoned over and over again by you and your Republican colleagues? And pretending that the people who stayed home on election day caount as votes for your side? I don't know, that just seems more dishonest than stupid.

GRAHAM: Well, we've got a lot of bills that came from the House to the Senate with bipartisan support from the House that died in the Senate, the Keystone pipeline. I want to take the defense cuts under sequestration which will gut our military and replace them with something more balanced. There are so many areas out there that we could work together.

Okay, pretending that defense cuts would "gut" the largest, most bloated military the world has ever seen? Now that's pretty stupid! But pretending that there is the slightest possibility of Republicans being willing to work with the President? I believe we have a tie!

And this tie can only be broken American Idol style, by audience voting. Leave your votes in the comments!

They finally found some voter fraud!

They finally found the reprehensible felon responsible for defrauding the American electoral system!

Young Mother Arrested For Voting In Iowa

By karoli November 11, 2014 6:30 am

You see, this nice lady went down to the election place and registered to vote and then actually voted even though, unbeknownst to her, she was not actually allowed to do those things. Which might not sound like all that serious a crime, but. . .

Two months after I cast my ballot as a civics lesson for my daughter, the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation agents parked across the street from my house, questioned me, and eventually arrested me and charged me with voter fraud.

Which carries a sentence of up to FIFTEEN YEARS!

Of course, all of this horribly fraudulent fraud could have been prevented if only Iowa has a voter ID law. . . oh, wait. . .
They do.

And yet, this dangerous criminal was able to register and vote, just as she would have been had there not been a voter ID law, then someone with too much time on his hands checked the voter rolls against  state criminal records, just as they could have done had there been no ID law and found a match, just as they could have done without a voter ID law and then decided for some ungodly reason to have this woman arrested for doing what many consider her civic duty. Just as they could have done without a voter ID law. You don't need a voter ID law to catch dangerously felonious felons like Kelli Jo Griffin, you just have to be the kind of asshole who hates when people get to vote.

Oh, and the reason she doesn't get to vote? Let her explain:

Let me explain: When I was convicted on a nonviolent drug charge in 2008, my defense attorney told me that once I served my probation, I would regain my right to vote automatically – correct information at the time. But Gov. Terry Branstad suddenly changed the rules in 2011, and now all citizens with a felony conviction lose their voting rights for life.

Now, I'm no legal expert, but how is that not an ex post facto law? Shouldn't that only apply to people convicted after 2011? Any lawyers out there want to enlighten me?

Anyway, it's reassuring to see that the right-wing wasn't just being total dicks about voting. They actually were protecting our democracy from an actual, serious threat.

Is this guy fucking serious?

George W. Bush: ‘You have to earn your way into politics,’ nothing ‘is ever given to you’

Said the man who has never earned a goddamm thing in his life. The man who only ever got anywhere in life because of who his father was. And whose father only acheived the heights he did because of who his father was. That guy says "You have to EARN your way?" "Nothing is ever given to you? EVERYHTING YOU'VE EVER HAD HAS BEEN HANDED TO YOU ON A SILVER PLATTER!!!

How does this guy get the balls to say something like that?

Or this?

George W Bush: ‘No Regrets’ over Decision to Invade Iraq

How? How can you have no regrets? How many thousands of deaths would it take for you to have at least some regret? Are you just a total sociopath?  How does seeing something like this

not fill you with regret, remorse,  sorrow, guilt, something? Anything?

How is it possible that, to put the best construction on it, a "mistake" you made led to thousands of deaths, thousands of maimings, created thousands of widows and orphans and you have zero regrets? Even if you're actually stupid enough to have thought you were making the right dsecision, how do you not regret having been wrong?

“I think it was the right decision,” Bush said. “My regret is that a violent group of people has risen up again. This is al Qaeda plus. I put in the book that they need to be defeated. And I hope they are. I hope the strategy works.”

But, but, but. . . but clearly it was NOT the right decision. How are you the only person who doesn't see this? Iraq went form having zero al Quedas to having "al Queda-plus" and you still can sit there saying you think it was the right decision?

This guy just has no conscience.

Flashback Friday - The Untouchables

Remember the Untouchables?

Or were they only popular in L.A.?

Probably best remembered as the scooter gang in the movie "Repo Man,"  but they had a string of pretty good songs in the early 80's.

Please enjoy.

Election WTF's

Gawd, this fucking election!

http://image.spreadshirt.com/image-server/v1/compositions/15374041/views/1,width=190,height=190,appearanceId=2.png/wtf-maron-angst_design.png

I really don't even want to think about it, but what the hell else am I gonna write about?

Here's a few WTF's from the 2014 midterms.

 First of all, WTF, Arkansas?

You vote to raise the minimum wage. Okay, that's good. but you raise it to $7.50 an hour? You know the current federal minimum wage is $7.25, right? I mean, I know your state minimum wage was $6.25/hr, so it probably seems like you're getting a $1.00 per hour raise, but you aren't because the Federal wage supercedes your state wage, so you went through all the time and trouble of gettingthis initiative onto the ballot and passed for a lousy 25 cents an hour? WTF?

Also, you vote to increase the minimum wage, then elect a Senator who opposes raising it? How does that logic work? How is it that you can step into the polling booth, say "YES" to an increase in the minimum wage and then think "I'm gonna vote for this fucking teebagger scumbag who will make sure that people in other states don't get any increase?"

And WTF, Iowa?

Joni Ernst? Are you fucking serious with this shit? We always thought of you as a sort of moderate-conservative-not-insane kind of a state, but when you elect the next Michele Bachmann, I guess we have to reassess your standing. I mean, you want to elect a far-right Republican? That's your business, but my God, this woman is a lunatic!

http://ringoffireradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/ernst.jpeg

This is a woman who thinks that global warming is fake and Agenda 21 is real.

This is a woman who thinks that not only can states 'nullify" and Federal laws they don't like, but that local police can arrest anyone who does try to enforce Federal law.

This is a woman who thinks that she might have to defend herself against the United States government with a gun she keeps in her fucking purse!

What ya got there, lady, a .38? Good luck with that!

 Seriously, Iowa. WTF?

Also, WTF, Wisconsin?

Thousands of you will show up at the capitol to protest Scott Walker, but you won't show up at the polls to vote him out?

http://cdn.breitbart.com/mediaserver/Breitbart/Big-Government/2012/Governors/Republicans/scott-walker-rnc-reuters.jpg

You hate this smug son of a bitch, remember?  I mean, we all hate him, but you actually had the chance to do something about him. Remember this?
 http://www.theblaze.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Walker-recall2.jpg

What happened to this? Where did all these people go? Not to the polls, apparently.

WTF, Wisconsin?

http://cdn.marketplaceimages.windowsphone.com/v8/images/b898016a-d0b0-47fd-bbc7-a0d2cf8f4868?imageType=ws_icon_large

And WTF, MSNBC?

I managed to watch about 10 minutes of your election night coverage before Chris Matthews made my head explode. First, he said, and I'm paraphrasing here, that both candidates in North Carolina had some negatives. Hagan was seen as being too close to Barack Obama and Tillis "destroyed their education system." WTF?!?! How do you drop those two facts next to each other as though they were anywhere close to equivalent?

http://newsbusters.org/sites/default/files/main_photos/2013/May/2013-05-17MSNBCMJRussert.JPG?1368791245
Dude, that's like, my bit!
Then he took a little jab at FOX, which was totally appropriate, but immediately backpedaled saying "no, they're a great network." No, Chris, they are not. You were right the first time, don't apologize.

Then he said that right-wing nutjob governor John Kasich was a great guy and a good friend.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXtkTl1CHc_OwO4V6CYmU1g9cViI9DonXJqTY2SISnhQtqfttb7g0vF77ddJUo6_uvMnZV0AOyHhhzSh0d6oMRKYLkWkMHZz_MLg1hYJviJfuuL0Op42CsvWlc6cc6vVvgc33sHlvLkB8/s1600/exploding-head-o.gif

How does being good friends with John Kasich not disqualify you at least from covering Ohio? How are you not required, whenever the Ohio governor's race comes up, to recuse yourself and leave the room?

How does MSNBC continue to employ this twit?

WTF?
