Lions Roar Global Men’s Summit / Dallas, Texas / November 3, 4, 5

RESCUE: Last Man Out · A Call to Courageous Manhood: Faith - Honor - Valor!

Which is a pretty strange title. Faith, Honor, Valor! It seems that the organizers of this event have conflated Christianity with the Marine Corps.

I Cor. 13:13 - And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three;
but the greatest of these is automatic weaponry!

Anyway,  just look at this impressive list of speakers you've never heard of:

Wes Yoder
Wes Yoder,Ambassador Speakers Bureau
Glenn Wagner
Glenn Wagner, FutureLead
Leonard Sweet
Leonard Sweet,Theologian, Author & Professor

Is it just me, or are they all the same guy?

And there are a whole bunch more, but I have no idea who any of them are.
Like this guy:

Bill Scheer
Bill Scheer GUTS Church, Tulsa, OK

Wonder what "GUTS" stands for? Apparently nothing. Apparently, it is the Church of Guts.

And this guy:

Chuck Brewster
Chuck Brewster, Champions of Honor Gulf Breeze, FL
Who wrote this book:

Which just screams "turn the other cheek."

And this former professional wrestler:

Ted Dibiase
Ted DiBiase, Million Dollar Man Jackson, MS

But apparently, they are all gathering together for one reason:

"A leader may preach or draw a crowd, but he will never change a nation until he disciples a man!”

Because the word "disciple" is now apparently a verb, and possibly a slang term for something dirty.

And as they say in the Christian Men's Network:

A men’s ministry produces fruit. A men’s movement reproduces fruit!

Discussing Islamophobia with Studcat

A Nashville hotel has canceled its contract with an anti-Shariah conference out of fear the event could attract protests and disrupt business.

Of course, this can only mean one thing!

Hahaha. . . oh, studcat! You're so naive!  No, it obviously means that the scary brown people have ALREADY TAKEN OVER!!!!!

Organizers of the Preserving Freedom conference, who include Lou Ann Zelenik of the Tennessee Freedom Coalition, had planned to meet Nov. 11 at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville.
Hotel management said they received complaints about the event from the public and from their clients.

Jeezus, studcat! Do you even listen to yourself? Obviously, the Muslim-haters are having their rights trampled on by the all-powerful pro-Sharia lobby of Nashville, Tennessee! Duh!

Zelenik said her group is being censored for opposing radical Islam, and the hotel’s action shows Shariah law is a threat to free speech.
“I feel the Hutton is now under Shariah law,” she said.

Oh, obviously. Obviously the Hutton Hotel of Nashville, Tennessee is being governed by Sharia Law. I mean, there's just no other reasonable explanation.

Among the event’s scheduled speakers are Atlas Shrugs blogger Pamela Geller; Murfreesboro mosque opponent and Center for Security Policy President Frank Gaffney; and former Republican Rep. Fred Grandy, who played the character Gopher on the popular TV series The Love Boat.

Oh, Pam Geller isn't respectable? Really? This is the same Pam Geller who referred to Muslim employees wanting to take prayer breaks as an "Act of War" against Wal-Mart. That's not respectable? The Pam Geller who referred to Rick Perry as a "stealth jihad candidate?"  She's not respectable? Okay, you win this round, studcat!

William Murray, chairman of the Preserving Freedom conference, said the event is in jeopardy. “This is not some local anti-Muslim group,” Murray said. “This was a responsible organization of national organizations meeting to discuss the issue of Shariah law.”

You know, studcat, sarcasm is not an attractive quality in a cat.

“This is blatant oppression of free speech,” he [Murray] said.
Wingnuts are so predictable!

I swear to God, I Think Herman Cain is Trying to Lose

I love the line that "America's never seen a candidate like Herman Cain."
Right, a kooky business tycoon with delusions of grandeur and an unorthodox style. Never seen anything like that before.

Of course, the difference is that Perot and Forbes were actually trying to win.

You heard it here first, the Herman Cain campaign is The Producers of politics.

Rick Santorum is a Goddamm Moron

Santorum: US ‘lost the war in Iraq’

Pennsylvania’s former GOP Senator, Rick Santorum, slammed President Barack Obama on his handling of the Iraq war Sunday, saying on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the United States had “lost the war in Iraq” because Obama was pulling troops out, leaving Iran as the dominating force in the country.

How the fuck much more can we win in Iraq?
We defeated the Iraqi Army.
We captured and executed Saddam Hussein.
We blew up Uday and Kusay (sorry, I have no idea how to spell the pricks' names)
There is nothing left to win.
It's like we're the home team and we have the lead after the top of the ninth and Santorum is insisting we play the bottom of the inning. And go into extra innings for the hell of it. Except it's not baseball and people are getting killed.

We have already won everything there was to win. We have done more winning than Charlie Sheen. What could we possibly have to gain by staying even longer?

“To be in a position where, really, the Iranians now have more sway over the Iraqi government than the United States just shows the weakness of our diplomatic effort, the weakness of this president in being able to shape the battlefield, if you will,” Santorum said

You know Iraq is its own country, right? We don't need to be in charge of Iraq, and we have no right to be. Iraq can figure out its own future. They don't need us to be involved and they don't want us to be involved, and we get nothing from being involved. Unless you own Blackwater, or KBR or Custer Battles or Wackenhut, etc.

So how much longer should we stay, Rick? How many more deaths and maimings do there need to be to make you happy?

Time Warner Even More Evil than Previously Thought.

Boss Told Me To Stop Giving Dying Co-Worker CPR, Says Service Rep

By Claire Gordon, Posted Oct 14th 2011 @ 3:05AM

Last month, a Time Warner Cable customer service rep died at her desk. After any unexpected death, people searched for answers, explanations, someone to blame. But in this case, there may have actually been something foul afoot. A local news station reports that after a co-worker began giving CPR to 67-year-old Julia Nelson, a supervisor allegedly told her to stop and "get back on the phone and take care of customers."

Nelson slumped at her desk at the Time Warner Call Center in Garfield Heights, Ohio, and wasn't breathing by the time paramedics arrived. But before that happened, a co-worker rushed over and began administering CPR, the woman told WOIO, only to be asked to stop. Employees at the scene have confirmed this report.
The woman was also told later by another supervisor that she could be "held liable if something goes wrong."
Time Warner released a statement, denying any wrongdoing: "Time Warner responded appropriately to a medical emergency. Our company has procedures in place to respond to emergencies. We are saddened by the loss of one of our employees who was a co-worker and a friend. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time."
